For project the self-directed Video Project I want to find a different way to use my T-3 Rebel camera. I am going to use different types of textures on my camera to work with light and auto focus and manual focus along with allowing people to feel my concept of different textures. I am also going to work on using different types of things to cover my camera to get different types of textures such as seranwrap. I am going to take a dance video and use the camera as I do a dance movement and have the camera at different angels with different textures to change the focus on my camera. I am going to play with it tomorrow during class and take muiltple different videos and put my video into iMovie to work on the video-to-video structure. I will tell a story overtime through my dance movements.

Art Proposal 1/27
My overall theme word is opposite. Through the time we have in class tomorrow I am going to challenge myself to find nature and beauty in items that are opposite such as using my senses of touch and sight. Through my senses I am going to construct the pictures to flow together to show the beauty of opposite. I want people to feel emotion when they look at the calibration of pieces come together to make a rainbow of opposite feelings. My goal is to start by finding a group of opposites in pairs and groups that will show different types of textures. When the animation is done it will show how people categorize the opposite emotions and textures through beauty and nature.

Excerise (B )Critique on Winnie The Pooh
Through looking at everyone’s art piece and getting an understanding of creativity and understanding of the process on how they started the Exercise A, Ying took a very unique approach. It was visually easy to look at, appealing to the eye with colors of black and white. The size and shape of everything she uses was very plain and organized and thought out. It shows a different way of using art that, I was not aware of. She uses lines and letters as a comparison. It was very balanced and specific where she put letter and shapes. She also watched a video on how to create her own. She search Google for how to create this on word. and to find tools such as the blending tool. She has seen others like this and got the idea from past art she has seen and liked. She loves Winnie the Pooh and this piece brought me back to my childhood.
If she was able to use Photoshop or another app, she said she would have done it completely differently. She showed me and taught me things I didn’t even know were possible on a computer. She has a good eye to show her what the placement had to be for each letter or shape. She also explains how she wanted it to be simple and not a distracting background. This piece of art shows me a way of art I didn’t know was possible. I think she was very creative, and I was impressed. She definitely took a long time and put lots of effort into this.
